Scope of Certification
The Certified Professional Doula scope of certification includes providing emotional, physical, and information support through the full spectrum of life.
It also includes doulas partnering with clients to create an individualized care plan. Doulas do not give medical advice, perform medical procedures, or act in place of a medical provider.
An active, in-good-standing certification is valid for three years with the opportunity for recertification with required continued education credits, application for recertification, and proof of good standing.
