Application Pathways for Initial Certification
Graduates from Approved Training Programs
Pathway 1: Graduates from approved Training Providers will be required to submit proof of successful completion of training from one of the approved training organizations on the following list. This pathway provides students an all-inclusive training course meets all topic requirements set forth by the NDCB. Graduates of approved training programs will be required to complete the rest of the application process and certification requirements.
Prior Learning Applicants
Pathway 2: Individuals with prior learning and experience may submit proof of successful completion of all training requirements and clinical experience. This pathway provides an opportunity to those students without access to an approved training course, or to complete all requirements individually. This pathway is also ideal for other credentialed healthcare workers to complete the process for certification with prior learning. All applicants must complete training on all topic requirements set forth by the NDCB. Individuals will be required to complete the rest of the application process and certification requirements.
